Responsible for monitoring, designing and implementing, configuring, installing and troubleshooting of system and network management technologies on four enclaves. Include VPN and distributed services as well as maintenance of communications closets. Perform configuration development scripting on routers, hubs and network management tools. Administer network tools to include configuration, implementation, monitoring, maintenance and management of system baselines, Internet/network security, firewall administration and virus protection strategies. Knowledgeable of application and perimeter scans and sniffing technology and firewall technologies. Experience in troubleshooting and disaster recover services. Experience with Internet protocols and services. Assist in installations and implementation of network capabilities.
Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret Clearance, minimum 3 years of experience in network services, and Bachelor Degree in related field.

UNIX Systems Administrator

Perform the following tasks: Requirements analysis, functional analysis, and synthesis of USSTRATCOM’s UNIX requirements. Builds technical solutions based on information gathered from submitted requirements documents and customer interviews. Develops project definitions and engineering estimates to include cost estimates and cost benefit analyses. Manages/performs implementation for technical solutions built. Owns the systems they implement and provides response to Gov’t questions/concerns with regard to these systems. Provide inputs on technical refresh and life cycle planning for their systems assigned. Participate in all phases of the development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases. Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results. Prepares briefings and prepares updates on project/task status. Prepares purchase requests and configuration management documentation. Attends Integrated Product Team meetings with the Gov’t to learn of new requirements, provide technical expertise, respond to taskings, etc. Requires frequent interchanges with the customer to determine customer needs and ensure what is implemented meets those needs. Engineers will build UNIX servers, ensure security requirements are met, test servers/systems/software/hardware, and integrate/install them into the production environment. Ensures all necessary documentation to operate and maintain the equipment and/or software is provided to the Service Delivery team. Performs performance monitoring and provides documentation of issues and recommendations to Service Delivery. Working understanding of: system engineering basics, MS Project. Experience with UNIX Solaris, and system integration (hardware, software, network, and database). Knowledgeable of system security, system operation and performance, and system effectiveness. Experience with system engineering tools, probability and statistics, modeling, and simulation programs.
Note: Three Years (3) of experience in the development of information technology (IT) systems. Bachelor Degree in related discipline

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the organization’s business development team by aligning the organization with strategic partners to market to federal agencies.
- Responsibilities include the development of proposal responses to Clients and potential Clients to include all aspects of proposal from proposal management to technical writing, supporting pricing analysis, final preparation, printing and shipping.
- Pursues new business opportunities and expands current business base.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project(s). Develop and implement a process to qualify leads to assist Business Development in the formal decision to pursue opportunities.
- Assist in managing the transition from opportunity discovery to the proposal process where the opportunity is closed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge of the proposal process, including development of technical and cost submissions, coordination with contracts, pricing, finance, and management to ensure cohesive submissions are prepared.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree is desirable and at least 5-10 year years experience in the field’s concepts, practices, procedures, and government contracting. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
